AN UNDIVIDED HEART
“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” — Psalms 86:11 NIV
a beautiful thought from Bianca.
“This year one of my goals is to focus much more on seeking God deeper than I ever have in the past, and to seek him with everything I have. Going into this year I read a scripture in Psalms which really stood out to me, it says “Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may l fear your name.”
I just remember journaling about the conviction I felt while reading this scripture. I think for too long I’ve let my own desires for things on earth get in the way of my relationship with God, and I felt as though my heart was held back by this. But I don’t want to let anything on this Earth sway me from what is righteous and Holy. I want to have an undivided heart for God, but if my heart is chasing after earthly things, then I have to ask myself if my heart is really in the right place… It’s not an easy thing to have an undivided heart, but my prayer is that God would give me grace for the journey he’s taking me on, and that He would help my heart to only be truly satisfied by Him, my creator.” — Bianca
