ABOUT THE UNVEILED US

Unveiled Us is a project that I have felt passionate about for a long time. I have no doubt that it will grow and change, but at the moment, it is a space for vulnerability, authenticity and candid conversations.

I love story-telling. When I was young I wanted to be a songwriter, actor, author and filmmaker. It sounds like a lot of different career ventures, but they all share something in common; creative story-telling. As I grew up I discovered that my favourite way to tell stories (at the moment at least) is through film and video. I particularly feel passionate about story-telling that has some kind of impact. I love films that move people - whether that be a movement of laughter or joy or empathy…

I believe that it is by authentic empathy that meaningful change can occur. When I finished school, I intended to travel and create films about social justice issues across the world. Life had other plans and I wasn’t able to travel, but it ended up being the best thing. Through staying home, I realised that empathy is needed here too - not just for social justice issues but for the personal walk of every individual.

Everybody has a story - it sounds like a basic concept but it’s something I’ve come to feel more and more passionate about; the stories of our daily walk with life and faith.

My hope for Unveiled Us is that it will be a welcoming space where people can relate to the stories and testimonies that are expressed and feel connected, comforted and understood. I hope that the pieces of wisdom shared will strengthen someone and I hope that each person who shares will be able to see that their vulnerability has value.
